The local business community in Yorkshire has been asked to get behind and support the high profile campaign to keep children’s heart surgery in the area.
The campaign is run by Save our Surgery (SOS). The scheme has attracted major attention from the local businesses, but it doesn’t seem to to attracted the required amount of attention. It was started when the decision to close the Leeds paediatric surgery, due to a review of children’s heart surgery services.
SOS are asking for businesses for help by purchasing tickets for the Heart to Heart Valentines benefit ball, which takes place on February on 9th at York’s national Railway Museum.
The event, which is black-tie includes a three course meal, evening entertainment and the chance to participate in an auction.
Tickets for the event are £50 a head, or a table can be purchased for 10 people for a fee of £500. All the profits will go towards SOS. For more information, click here.
